Loudoun County Towns and Communities
There are Seven Incorporated Towns and numerous communities that make up Loudoun County, Virginia.
- Purcellville Incorporated in 1908, is rich in history and beauty. View the timeline of how Purcellville got started. Click on the link to learn more about the History of Purcellville. - Hamilton is just to the East of Purcellville, was incorporated in 1875. To view a map of Hamilton click on the link. Hamilton was once a summer getaway for Washington D.C. residents. Be sure and visit the antique shops in Hamilton.
- Round Hill is just West of Purcellville, and was incorporated in 1900. To view a map of Round Hill click on the link. To learn more about Round Hill, click on the link, about Round Hill. Round Hill was given its name because of the roud hill located just southwest of the the town.

- Leesburg was established in 1758. Leesburg acts as the couty seat of Loudoun County. To visit the Leesburg home page click on the link. Leesburg is very rich in its history. Leesburg has plenty for visitors to do, from shopping, dining, to site seeing. Be sure to take the trolley around town, and for shopping at the outlet mall. - Lovettsville was established in 1733. The third largest town in Loudoun County, and the located in the northern portion of the county. Lovettsville has grown from a small town, and continues to grow. Lovettsville is currently developing a town center in the heart of its community. Lovettsville is conveniently located minutes from the MARC train and Maryland. Click on the link to view a map of Lovettsville.
- Hillsboro was established in 1802. Click on the link to learn about the interesting history of this town. Hillsboro is the smallest town in Loudoun County both in size as well as population.
Villages Of Loudoun County
- Aldie Aldie is home to several wonderful shops and the Aldie Mill, which survives today as Virginia's only known gristmill powered by twin overshot water wheels. Aldie Mill is open to the public from April through October.
- Lincoln This small, Quaker village is located adjacent to Purcellville. There are truely some beautiful homes in this small village.
- Bluemont This village is located in the far west portion of Loudoun County. The Bluemont Fair takes place each year on the third weekend in September. If your visiting during this time be sure to go!
- Waterford This village was established in 1733. Click on the link to learn more about Waterford. If you are in town the first part of October, be sure to go to the Waterford Fair.
- Lucketts This village is known for its many antique shops and close proximaty to Mryland, which is just over the Point of Rocks Bridge that links Virginia and Maryland over the Potomac River.
